Aurora Village Board writes about future of Wells Campus

The WLS urged the Village Board of Trustees in Aurora to keep the campus zoned institutional for future use by nonprofit educational entities. On June 26, the Board sent a statement to NYS elected officials and government agencies which adopted a strong stance on campus development.

…we believe it is in the best interests of the Village of Aurora, its residents, property owners, and constituent-businesses, to see the Wells College campus returned to use as a higher education campus, and not parceled off.

…and…

To our knowledge, there is not another campus in our region of New York State with as much historic significance or lakeside charm.
